iFour Technolab Pvt Ltd, a reputed Outlook Add-ins development company developed an Outlook Add-in that can make emails clearer, fix grammar, and eliminate spelling errors. Using this, users can compose better and more professional emails without worrying about mistakes.
We ran into some problems since we just had the context of the written text and didn't require the context of the responded or forwarded message content. The problem stems from the method offered by Outlook's Office.js. When this method is utilized to extract the text from the compose area, it retrieves not only the present text but also covers the context of both replied and forwarded emails. This has led to challenges in our process.
The system encompasses the following key features:
• Registration: This process involves the registration of new users on the Good Mail platform, granting them access to the "rewrite and replace" functionality of the Good Mail Add-In.
• Login: Users who are already part of the Good Mail platform can sign in using this process. Once logged in, users are directed to the "rewrite" page of Good Mail.
• Rewrite (Standard, Friendly, Formal): When the "rewrite" button is clicked, the system extracts the text from the compose text area. Utilizing an API and providing parameters for the mail type filter (standard, friendly, or formal), it generates a revised result. This outcome is then populated within the text area dedicated to corrections on the Rewrite screen.
• Replace: By clicking the "replace" button, the content within the compose mode is seamlessly substituted with the newly fetched outcome following the execution of the rewrite functionality.
• Revert: Activating the "revert" button reverts the content in the compose area back to its original state.
Thus, this solution offers a comprehensive range of features encompassing user authentication, registration, and login processes, as well as a robust "rewrite and replace" functionality. This functionality encompasses different rewriting options, enabling users to enhance their composed content. The ability to revert to the original content further enhances the user experience and flexibility within the system.
